Kurt is a Principal owner of Catalyst Environmental, Inc. with more than twenty three years of experience in the environmental and industrial services. The last twelve years have been with Catalyst holding positions in Sales, Estimating and Project Management roles. His project manage experience includes site closures & decommissioning, soil and ground water remediation, emergency response management and hazardous waste tank removals & tank cleaning. Current professional business organizations include: Bay Area Environmental Safety Group (BAESG), Professional Environmental Marketing Association (PEMA) and Peninsula Business Exchange (PBX).
Mr. Soto holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis and a Minor in Geology from San Jose State University.
Joseph Berkshire

Joe is a Principal owner of Catalyst Environmental, Inc. and has over twenty three years of experience in the environmental field. The last twelve years have been with Catalyst holding positions as Estimator, Field Chemist and Project Management roles. His project management experience encompasses hazardous waste characterization & management, lab packing, emergency response management, facility decontamination & decommissioning, environmental health and training and site remediation. Current professional business organizations include Bay Area Environmental Safety Group (BAESG) and Professional Environmental Marketers Association (PEMA) and Peninsula Business Exchange (PBX). Mr. Berkshire holds a Bachelor Arts degree in Zoology from University of California at Santa Barbara.
Ray Villanueva
Project Manager
Ray has been in the industry for 21 years. The last ten years with Catalyst Environmental, Inc. after Tech Source Environmental was acquired in 2007. Starting as a EH&S Specialist in the Semiconductor Industry his responsibilities ranged from EH&S Programs, Compliance & Hazardous Waste Management. His project management experience encompasses equipment decontamination, treatment and abatement systems, facility decontamination & decommissioning, on-site services, site remediation. He’s successfully completed numerous large and small scale closures and demolition projects. His Emergency Response experience includes hazardous material spill clean-up on land and water, to the high tech industry, and biotech, to public works, fire, water, and bio-hazard clean up’s. Ray is a problem solver with a talent and understanding to finding unique and fast solutions to industry challenges. Mr. Villanueva holds an Associates of Arts degree from DeAnza College & CHMM Certification from UC Berkeley extension.
